Student Of J K Diamonds Institute Wins National Jewellery Awards By Gems & Jewellery Council

Mariya Imani, a student of J K Diamonds Institute of Gems & Jewelry won the prestigious National Jewellery Award (NJA) organised by All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council, winning a scholarship of Rupees One Lakh (INR 1,00,000/-). The event was organised on 11 Feb, 2019 at Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt Hotel.

More than 900 jewelry design entries were received by GJC. Two of J K Diamonds Institute’s students, Mariya Imani and Sakshi Chopra, were selected for the final round. Eventually Mariya was among the winners in the student category.

The theme used in the design was “Save and Educate the girl child”. This design is a perfect depiction of the Narendra Modi Government’s initiative “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” initiative. It is important to spread the message of this movement, even in the form of jewelry.

As Mariya mentioned in her description: “One Child, One Teacher, One Book and One pen can change the world.” J K Diamonds Institute of Gems & Jewelry pledges to take this message forward and strive to provide world class learning experience to one and all in the Gems & Jewelry industry.
