J K Diamonds Institute of Gems & Jewelry organized the Convocation cum Knowledge series for its students at Hotel Sahara Star on the 12th of July, 2019. The function with a very inspiring welcome speech by Mr. Jaynil Ajmera. The positive energy in the room was very contagious. To add more zest, Mr. Jaynil Ajmera invited our chief guests, Mr. Manit Shah (MD, Global Emerging Markets) and Mrs. Sarika Naheta (Director, Jaipur Jewels and an Alumni of JK) on the stage to share their views on the jewelry industry and the impact of branding in today’s markets.
While Mr. Manit Shah talked about turnaround management and entrepreneurship, Mrs. Sarika gave us some deep insights on brand management and brand positioning. The discussion was very relevant in today’s times as the competition is amongst the unbranded jewelers, hence it is time to step up and create your brand identity. The event was then taken forward by Mr. Naman Ajmera, who held a discussion panel where our two speakers interacted with the audience and answered all the students’ queries.
The event also boasted the esteemed presence of Mr. Kirit Ajmera, the founder of JK Diamonds, one of the pioneers of the industry who steered gems and jewelry education in India through his rich experience and 100% practical and market-oriented training programs.
