Convocation + Knowledge Series 2018

J K Diamonds Institute of Gems & Jewelry organised a successful Convocation at The Lalit, Mumbai. The venue is the same as the location of the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS). Students who passed in the previous 3 months were awarded their certificates.

Knowledge series
The convocation was preceded by Knowledge series and panel discussion on Domestic and Export Jewelry markets. (A separate blog will cover the presentation). Jaynil Ajmera of J K Diamonds Institute gave a welcome speech and introduced the speakers. The details of the chief speakers on the discussion panel are mentioned below:

• Mr. Viral Kothari, Managing Director at Fine-Jewellery, an established jewelry export house @ SEEPZ. Fine Jewellery exports to over 17 countries including US, UK, France, Australia, among others.
• Mr. Akash Kala, an Alumni of JK is the Director at Kala Diamonds and Jewel 4 you, having presence in Mumbai, Jaipur and Chennai in India and International presence in Hongkong, Bangkok, China and Italy.

Both Viral and Akash covered Domestic and Export Markets in the discussion panel.

Mr. Prashant Bhojani of Rapaport India, took a short session on how to check pricing of diamonds using Rapnet and other services provided by Rapaport. The discussion panel was hosted by Naman Ajmera, J K Diamonds Institute. A fruitful and interactive discussion took place between the students and the panellists.

Convocation 2018
Knowledge series was followed by the Convocation and students were awarded the certificates of their respective courses. This was followed by Brunch and some exciting photo sessions.

Placement cell

Further, on the spot placement where given to students from different companies who were also invited at the convocation. Interested students gave their interviews. Immediate Placements and internships were also offered to them.
